Introduction

The County of Chester provides remote access to most County maintained public information. The following instructions are designed to familiarize and assist you with the features offered within the ChescoPIN system. The information described may be accessed by any ChescoPIN subscriber after logging in with the appropriate subscriber number and password.

The ChescoPIN system allows subscribers to access Chester County Courthouse records by entering values in the appropriate fields within each search field. 

Online help may be accessed at any time.

Information is available from the following offices:

Prison
Prothonotary
Recorder of Deeds
Real Estate/Assessment
Tax Claim
Warrants
Register of Wills
Orphans' Court/Marriage Licenses
Sheriff Civil Service


Note: Subscribers using the ChescoPIN system are billed on a monthly basis. See the ChescoPIN Agreement for rate information.

Release Notes for the ChescoPin System

The following changes/enhancements have been incorporated into the October, 2008 release of the ChescoPIN System.


General Note

The County of Chester provides remote access to most County maintained public information. The following instructions are designed to familiarize and assist you with the features offered within the ChescoPIN system. The information described may be accessed by any ChescoPIN subscriber after logging in with the appropriate subscriber number and password.

The ChescoPIN system allows subscribers to access Chester County Courthouse records by entering values in the appropriate fields within each search field.

Online help is available and may be accessed at any time.

The following County offices provide data via ChescoPIN:

Prothonotary

The Prothonotary module has been converted to a new platform. This has resulted in the following changes and expanded searches:

Case Number has changed

  1. Standard case number now has four-digit-year case sequence number.
    • Example: 2008-06952-CO (yyyy-nnnnn-xx)
  2. Any other case number not fitting standard format adds case type at end.
    • Example: FT8411358-FT (xxnnnnnnn-xx)
  3. When using the Case Search option, the entire Case Number is REQUIRED.

Advanced Search

  1. An advanced search has now been added allowing you to search by partial case number using wildcards. Advanced search also allows you to search by case type, date range or by a combination of these.
  2. When searching by docket type, a date range must be entered.
Register of Wills/Orphans' Court

The Register of Wills/Orphans' Court module has been converted to a new platform. This has resulted in the following changes and expanded searches:

  1. Register of Wills search results have been expanded to show:
    • docket details,
    • inheritance tax payments,
    • date of death,
    • extended parties and
    • judges and attorneys.
    • The Register of Wills search option is for Estate Case Types ONLY.
  2. Orphans' Court search results have been expanded to show:
    • docket details,
    • inheritance tax payments, and
    • extended parties (judges and attorneys).
    • You can also search by case type.
  3. Marriage Licenses search by either party will now show both parties as well as the officiant.
