1. What is ChescoPIN?
  • ChescoPIN is a computerized information and communication tool designed to assist you in accessing certain public records available through the Chester County Courthouse.
  • As an initiative of the Chester County Board of Commissioners and the county's Department of Computing and Information Services, ChescoPIN is available on a fee basis for users across the county, state and country.

5. Do I need special equipment to access ChescoPIN?
A computer with Internet connection is required. Click here for System Requirements.

6. How do I become a ChescoPIN user?
  • First, you must become a registered user of ChescoPIN.
  • To become a registered user of ChescoPIN you must complete an online application located in the registration screen of the ChescoPIN System. This process includes entering your CREDIT CARD INFORMATION (Visa or MasterCard only) and accepting the ONE-TIME $50.00 REGISTRATION FEE. For more details on how to register, click here.
  • ChescoPIN users are CHARGED A minimum monthly USAGE FEE of $10.00 for months where actual usage occurs. This minimum allows up to 100 searches. Anything over that is $0.10 per search. This is billed on a MONTHLY basis.
  • Free access is available at any Chester County Library.
  • Once you have registered, you will be granted access to the ChescoPIN system through your username and password specified during registration. Access takes effect immediately.
7. How do I change my password:
  • After you login to ChescoPIN, you may change your password at any time by clicking the 'Account Info' button and then clicking 'Change Password'.

8. How do I change my Credit Card Information?
  • After you login to ChescoPIN, you may change your credit card information by clicking the ‘Account Info’ button and then clicking ‘Update Billing Info’.  You must then enter the last four digits and expiration date of the credit card on file in the system and save it before you can go back and enter/update your information. If you no longer have access to the card information on file, please contact the ChescoPIN Support Analyst at epinadmin@chesco.org.

9. May more than one user access my account?
  • Yes, multiple users can use your account simultaneously.

10. Are there any other services offered through the Department of Computing & Information Services OTHER THAN ChescoPIN?
  • ChescoPIN is JUST ONE of many services offered to the public by the Chester County Board of Commissioners and the county's Department of Computing & Information Services.
